Welcome to Horizon Private School – American Branch (HPS-Br.), a co-educational school with a student-centered approach at every level. This is defined by the manner in which we educate, mentor, and encourage our students and provide them with an exceptional learning experience that is inspiring and empowering.
HPS-Br. is a community in the heart of Khalifa City and was rated ‘Very Good’ during the Irtiqaa /ADEK inspection in 2019.

ACADEMICS
KINDERGARTEN
( PRE-KG, KG1 & KG2)
Starting Kindergarten is always a fun and exciting time. Our youngest students at Horizon Private School – American Branch enjoy a safe and happy environment where they are engaged in learning through a variety of activities.
LOWER ELEMENTARY
(Grades 1-2)
Moving from the comfort of kindergarten to lower elementary is a big step for any six-year-old. Our teachers work closely with parents to ensure that the move is a seamless one allowing each child to grow naturally within their new surroundings.
Upper Elementary
(Grade 3-5)
In upper elementary at Horizon Private School – American Branch, our students are exposed to an environment in which they thrive and grow into independent learners. Their learning will be enriched with activities planned to ensure the school values are instilled in every student.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
(Grades 6-8)
As our students embark on their Middle School years, our teachers lay down the framework to ensure academic rigor. Coupled with this, we provide ample opportunities for students to nurture their talent and creativity through regular activities.
HIGH SCHOOL
(Grades 9-12)
Starting at High School (Grades 9-12) High School is a very important time in any student’s academic journey, and at Horizon Private School – American Branch we give our students every opportunity to take charge of their learning. While student outcomes remain a key focus, we understand the importance of grooming successful young adults who are lifelong learners and are ready to become the leaders of the future.

At home with the traditions and culture of the UAE and embracing the best of current educational practices within the American Curriculum (Common Core State Standards), HPS-Br. carries the interests of each child at the heart of everything it does.
LANGUAGES
At HPS - Br., we are proud to offer a comprehensive language curriculum that includes Arabic, English, and French. Our programs are designed to support students from preschool to grade 12, fostering fluency and literacy in these three global languages. Our language programs reflect our commitment to preparing students for a multicultural world, where communication and understanding bridge the gaps between diverse societies.
BLENDED LEARNING &
TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION
Horizon Private School - American Branch is successfully implementing a Blended Learning Model that mixes paper-based instruction, hands-on activities, self-paced digital learning, ebooks, and the latest apps and educational trends.
AP COURSES
What is AP? The Advanced Placement (AP) program gives students the opportunity to tackle college-level work while still in High School. This allows them to be better prepared for college and, in some cases, earn college credits once they pass the AP exam. Run by the College Board, AP courses give students the academic skills they need in college while providing more time to concentrate on the subjects that interest them.
